Introducing Daniel Martin Brennan, BNA’s new EU Policy Advisor

Daniel Martin Brennan, a professional in EU affairs with a background that is half-Spanish and half-Irish, has over five years of experience in EU political affairs for the cultural and creative sector.

With a background working experience in the European Commission, Daniel spent several years working in Brussels for a European and international trade association representing the interests of the bookselling sector, lobbying on their behalf to EU policy-makers, monitoring relevant legislation and delivering the key information to national members, including those in the Netherlands.

Having left Brussels and recently relocated to Amsterdam, Daniel is excited to have joined the BNA to support Dutch architecture firms be prepared for future legislation and initiatives coming their way from the EU bubble, including the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the upcoming European Affordable Housing Plan. He’ll also be available to support members with an international presence, as well as progressively become a contact point for key partners, including ACE-CAE.

Besides English and Spanish, you can get in touch with Daniel in Catalan, German, some French and, of course, in Dutch ('although first zijn Nederlands moet nog veel verbeteren', zoals hij zelf zegt).

He is looking forward to meeting all BNA members over the coming months and to ensure their voices are heard in Brussels!
